Holyrood Park is a public park in central Edinburgh, Scotland about 1 mile to the east of Edinburgh Castle. A prominent part of Holyrood Park is Salisbury Crags which form a dramatic series of 46-metre (151 ft) rock cliffs on the west side of the park. Edinburgh’s Old Town is the historic medieval heart of Scotland’s capital. Stretching from Edinburgh Castle down to the Palace of Holyroodhouse along the famous Royal Mile, and a UNESCO World Heritage designation shared with the New Town. On the left is Holyrood Park with Arthur’s Seat at its peak.
