Ronnie Miranda graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in BSc Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University. He began his computer career in 1987 as a computer graphics artist specializing in 3D Animation. Ronnie was one of the pioneering artists in 3D computer-generated imagery (CGI) and animation when it was first introduced in the Philippines in 1987.

By 1991, Ronnie was a consultant for several video production companies where he designed and configured various CGI systems. With his sharp technical skills in computer technology, he formally established Storm Visualization and Imaging in July 1994 which specialized in computer-generated visual effects for TV and film productions. At that same time, when the commercialization of the internet began, he ventured into website design and development – and was recognized by the Philippine Webby Awards for his work. In 2002, he established Active Computer Services in Port Moody, BC.

With more than 26 years of professional experience, Ronnie Miranda has a broad base of knowledge, proficiency and competency in various fields of computer technology ranging from digital imaging, digital video production, 3D animation, website development and design, computer programming, core hardware and operating system technologies, networking, and electronics.

What is a Gigapixel Image?

A Gigapixel image is a digital image bitmap composed of one billion pixels (1,000 megapixels), more than 100 times the information captured by a 10 megapixel digital camera.
