Arthur’s Seat at Holyrood Park

Arthur’s Seat is a massive rocky peak and ancient volcano rising 823 feet (251 meters) above Holyrood Park in central Edinburgh, Scotland. It offers grand panoramic views of the city, features a moderately challenging 3-mile hiking loop, and dates back over 350 million years. In the foreground are Salisbury Crags which are a dramatic series of 46-metre (151 ft) cliff faces just west of Arthur’s Seat. They offer a popular walking route with stunning panoramic views of the city’s Old Town.
