Emerald Lake, Yoho National Park – Southeast View

Emerald Lake is located in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada. It is the largest of Yoho’s 61 lakes and ponds, as well as one of the park’s premier tourist attractions. It was discovered in 1882, when famed mountain guide Tom Wilson was led lakeside while rounding up a group of horses that had gone astray, and was immediately taken by the vivid Emerald-coloured waters. The image is made up of 360 individual photos and captured using a Canon 5D MKII, Canon EF 300mm f/4 L IS lens and a GigaPan EPIC Pro. Photo by Ronnie Miranda.
